September 10, 2026 marks the first anniversary of our Southern California store — ROKKATEI’s very first location outside Japan.

Over the past year, we have welcomed more than 13,000 visitors to our store.

For generations, we have been making sweets in Hokkaido, Japan. To now have the opportunity to share them with so many customers here in Southern California is something we are truly grateful for.

One of the greatest joys of this first year has been meeting customers who were discovering ROKKATEI for the very first time. Seeing familiar faces return, exchanging greetings, and getting to know our local community have become some of the most rewarding parts of our days.

At the same time, this year has made us want to share ROKKATEI with even more people — and give more customers the opportunity to discover and enjoy our sweets.

As we begin our second year, we hope to continue growing as a store loved by our local community while also finding new ways to bring a taste of Hokkaido to those who live farther away.
