ROKKATEI is a beloved confectionary that specializes in sweets and baked treats that was founded in 1933 in Tokachi, Hokkaido—Japan’s dairy heartland. Our culinary philosophy has always been to use only the finest ingredients, no matter the cost, which is why our sweets are the perfect blend of time-honored culinary mastery and the finest, globally sourced ingredients.

With over 70 locations across Hokkaido, our sweets are cherished for the way they bring something special to the everyday. We believe that sweets can elevate daily moments—and it’s our hope that Rokkatei becomes a part of those moments in our customers’ lives.

After more than a decade of planning and focusing on global expansion, we’re finally ready to open our doors and share a taste of Hokkaido with the world. In the summer of 2025, Rokkatei will launch its first international location in Southern California, bringing our iconic treats to new hands and hearts in the United States.

Our signature offerings will include the bestselling Marusei Butter Cookie Sandwiches, White Chocolate Strawberries, buttery cookies, rich milk chocolates, madeleines, exclusive gift items adorned with our floral trademark, and more! We will also be debuting locally crafted confections and baked treats unique to California.
