A Sweet Valentine with a Hidden Heart♡

February 14 marks Valentine’s Day.
In our home country of Japan, Valentine’s Day gradually became known as a day when women give chocolate or small gifts to men. Today, however, it is widely enjoyed as a heartfelt occasion—one for treating yourself and sharing appreciation and love with friends.

As our first Valentine’s recommendation from ROKKATEI, we’d like to introduce MENKOI PETITE MADELEINES.
“Menkoi” is a word from the Hokkaido dialect that means cute. Inside the package, you’ll find small, round madeleines—soft, golden, and just the right size to enjoy in a single bite.

Here’s a little secret:
Sometimes, a heart-shaped madeleine is hidden among them. Did you know that?
If you find one, you’re in luck! When you pick them up in store, be sure to take a closer look. (The packaging is clear—so a little “cheating” is allowed.)

We continue our confectionery making in the Tokachi Plain of Hokkaido, a region often called one of Japan’s great dairy heartlands. Inspired by its rich natural blessings, we use plenty of butter, giving these madeleines their gentle sweetness and comforting aroma.

Finished in an adorable, bite-sized form, they make a lovely Valentine’s gift—especially for children, or for anyone who enjoys something simple, warm, and heartfelt.
